Open Society Foundation and Hungarian Embassy to Macedonia host Friday photo exhibit “Chachipe Youth” in Skopje-based Youth and Information Center (MKC).

The display presents photographs from the 2008 international photo contest “Chachipe Youth” of Open Society Foundation and Open Society Archives.

Call “Chachipe for Youth” (“chachipe” means truth or reality in Romani language) was open for all young people from 12 countries that are part of the Decade of Roma Inclusion 2005-2015.

The aims of the contest were to help combat visual stereotypes associated with Roma and to present Roma people and Roma culture sensitively and artistically.

Hungarian Ambassador Jozsef Bencze, Minister without Portfolio and National Coordinator of the Decade for Roma Inclusion, Nezdet Mustafa, as well as Foundation Open Society-Macedonia director Vladimir Milcin will open the exhibit.
