There are no indications that until the NATO summit which will take place in May in Chicago, there can be a solution to the issue of the name, estimated the Prime Minister of FYROM, Nikola Gruevski.

At the same time he noted that the question of enlargement of the alliance would not be on the agenda of the NATO summit in Chicago.

“At this moment there are no indications that Greece will soon show the will to quickly find a solution to the problem of the name, nor are there indications that something will change concerning the NATO summit (in Chicago). At this moment we are not on the agenda (e.n. of the Chicago Summit), in other words issues of enlargement are not on the agenda. There are no messages that this will change”, declared Gruevski during an interview to the private pro-government TV station of Skopje, Sitel.

He noted that Greece is in a pre-electoral period, underlining that there are no great expectations that something will happen in the time period, until the Greek elections.

“If there is a message from Greece that it desires negotiations, we are absolutely ready to continue the negotiations and to quickly arrive at a solution, which will be acceptable both for them and the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia”, added mr Gruevski.
